Peel and slice apples and put them in a bowl. Add lemon juice, sugar, flour and ¼ teaspoon salt, mix well and set aside.
For crumb topping, cut butter with a pastry cutter and mix with½ cup flour, add brown sugar, oats and salt.
Prepare pie shell and add apples to it. Add crumb topping on the top.
Cover it with an aluminum foil and bake it for 25 minutes in a 375 degree preheated oven. Then remove foil from crust and bake for another 30 minutes.
Cut pecans into small pieces. Before 5 minutes remaining, sprinkle pecans on the top. Then remove the pie from oven.
Pour over ½ jar of caramel topping and let it cool. You can serve it immediately if you can’t wait. Enjoy!
