Benihana Onion Soup Recipe Easy

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fried onions
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 6 thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 1-2 ribs of chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 white onion roughly chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 large-sized carrot roughly chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 green roughly diced onions
  • 2 cups of water

Instructions

  • In a non-stick saucepan, which is of medium size, you must pour the chicken broth and boil it. After boiling the broth, you must add the vegetables to it.
  • The vegetables are added one by one in it. Bring the diced carrots and add throw these diced carrots into the simmering broth. Add mushrooms a the same time.
  • In the next step, roughly dice the celery and add it to the broth and carrot mixture.
  • After the addition of celery, you must add the diced onions, and the minced garlic is also added at the same.
  • Pour the water into the mixture and simmer at lowered heat for a longer period.
  • The vegetables will be cooked and softened in the simmering broth. You have to cook the whole soup mixture until it gets fragrant.
  • Pour the soy sauce in between the simmering. Also, add the leftover water. Boil again and continue to simmer for half an hour.
  • Turn off the heat and then strain the mixture. Keep the soup in a bowl and discard the vegetables in it.
  • Pour the soup back into the non-stick cooking pan.
  • You must heat it before serving and serve after garnishing the chopped green onions at the top of the Soup.
