Chicken Fried Steak Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 3/4 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 4 1/2 pound beef cube steaks
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 1/2 pounds beef cube steaks
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 large-sized egg
  • 4 cups of milk
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Grounded black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
  • 3 cups vegetable shortening for frying

Instructions

  • Flatten the chicken steak in the beginning to get a perfect shape and size.
  • Take a shallow bowl and sift mentioned quantity of flour in this bowl.
  • In this bowl, combine the baking soda and baking powder with the flour.
  • To season the dry mixture adds salt and pepper in the same bowl but add the measured quantity. Don't add too much of it.
  • Pour the buttermilk into a bowl and blend eggs into it. Blend at high speed. Add Tabasco sauce to it.
  • Mince the garlic and add to the flour mixture.
  • Bring the chicken steaks which were already cleaned and dried and coat a layer of the flour mixture over them. Then dip this coated chicken steak in the egg and buttermilk mixture.
  • Once again make a last layer of the flour coating over it. Put the steaks on a separate plate.
  • Start searing the steak in a shallow pan with a little butter or oil in it. Fry each side for 5-6 minutes and make sure it is beautifully golden browned.
  • Repeat the process with each steak one by one once you have fried them shower them with black pepper.
  • Then you have to prepare the gravy for your steaks.
  • Take a deep skillet and heat a little oil in it. Add the leftover flour to this skillet and stir well using the spatula.
  • Pour milk into this flour and then let sizzle for some time. Make sure it is thickened into a sauce and then make the addition of salt and pepper into it.
  • Mix well once again.
  • Arrange your seared steaks on the serving platter and drizzle them with the cooked sauce before serving.
