Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, about 4 pounds
  • 4 to 6 potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 package (6 ounces) dry stuffing mix (available at grocery stores)
  • 1 1 / 2 cup (350 mL) chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • First of all, dry your chicken well.
  • Brush the whole chicken with olive oil, then generously season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the dry stuffing with the chicken broth.
  • Put the stuffing into the cavity of the chicken.
  • Place your potatoes and onion in the bottom of the crock pot in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle with the crushed garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Place chicken on top, breast side down
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the crock pot and wrap it in foil.
  • 10 minutes later, remove the stuffing and place it in another bowl.
  • Bone the chicken as usual.
  • Enjoy your meal!
