Combine yeast and sugar in a bowl. Add warm water, stir once and leave the bowl covered in a warm place for 10-15 minutes.
In a bowl, combine maida, milk powder, castor sugar, and salt. Mix well and add yeast mixture. Stir using a spoon then add warm milk a little at a time.
Mix with your hands to form a sticky dough then add butter and mix until well incorporated.
Dust some maida to a work area and knead the dough for at least 10-15 minutes until smooth dough forms.
Place the dough in a well-greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth and leave it for 1-2 hours until the dough rises.
Place the dough on a work surface to stretch and pull for 5minutes until smooth. Flatten the dough with a rolling pin and place it in a greased loaf pan. Leave it for 40 minutes until the dough rises.
Smear some butter or milk on the risen dough. Place the pan in the preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 40 minutes until done.
The milk bread is ready. Slice and serve.
