Ingredients

of active dry yeast

of warm water

melted

Instructions
Activate the Yeast
In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.
Prepare the Dough
In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
Gradually add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the flour mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
Let It Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it's doubled in size.
Shape the Breadsticks
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll them into breadstick shapes.
Place them on a baking sheet.
Bake
Bake the breadsticks for 12-15 minutes, or until they're golden brown.
Garlic Butter Finish
In a saucepan, melt the ½ cup of unsalted butter and add garlic powder.
Brush the butter mixture over the warm breadsticks.
Sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan cheese.
