Place the steak in a shallow dish. Use a fork to prick the steak deeply, over its entire surface, on both sides.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour over the steak; cover and refrigerate 1 to 24 hours.
When you're ready to grill, prepare, and preheat the grill. Cook the steak over medium coals for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, turning once, until medium. This steak should not be cooked medium or well done or it will be very difficult.
Place on a cutting board, cover with a sheet, and let stand for 5 minutes. To serve, position the steak so that the grain flows from left to right. Hold the steak using tongs with your non-dominant hand. Using a very sharp knife, place the knife on the steak, then tilt it to the left. Thinly slice the steak. Serve immediately.
