Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. In a bowl combine the flour, sugar and baking powder. In another bowl vigorously mix the oil with the waterand orange juice.
Combine the solid and liquid ingredients and mix well. Then add the orange zest and spices to your taste. I opted for a couple of cloves,well crushed, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and one of ginger, plus a touch of nutmeg.
Once the mixture is smooth and homogeneous, pour it into a22 or 24 cm pan lined with parchment paper. Place in the oven and cook for about 40 minutes, checking the doneness with a toothpick which must come out completely dry.
Let it cool completely.
Before serving, sprinkle the surface with icing sugar.
