Bring a nonstick pan on the stovetop and heat oil in it.
Stir fry the cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Wait until these seeds splutter.
To move forward, fry the ginger garlic paste and then throw in the chopped onion and curry leaves.
In the next step add the chopped tomato. Mix well and cook for some time. Then add all the flavors including red chili powder, asafoetida, salt, yogurt, coriander powder, and turmeric powder.
Cook for a few more minutes.
Then add potatoes and peas to the pan. Pour in half a cup of water.
Bring the mixture to a good boil. Cover and let the mixture sizzle. Continue to stir properly.
Serve the Green pea masala while hot. Also, don't forget to garnish coriander before serving!
