For dry Coating

  • 1/2 cup Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

To make Sauce

  • 2 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoon roasted sesame seed oil
  • 1 tablespoon chicken Bullion Powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon dry sherry optional
  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1/2 inch piece ginger minced
  • 2 medium garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon peanut-flavored oil

Instructions

  • You need a mixing bowl and mix the cornstarch with an egg in it. Pour some soy sauce. Use the hand mixer to blend them together and do not make a mess while blending.
  • Put this mixture aside for 30 minutes.
  • To prepare another mixture, this time combine the cornstarch with baking soda. Whisk and don’t blow it out.
  • Put a heavy-bottomed pan on the heat for it to get hot enough to use. You need properly heated oil for frying.
  • Coat the chicken with the liquid batter and then with the dried batter. Put in the heated oil and fry until crispy. Put n the paper towels to drain the excess oil.
  • Take a frying pan and add a little quantity of oil to it. Stir fry the ginger and garlic in it. After frying for a few seconds, pour soy sauce and sugars of both kinds like brown sugar and white sugar.
  • Add in some cornstarch, and bullion powder which is followed by vinegar and sesame oil. Use the spatula to stir so that everything will be combined properly and the sugar will be melted in the mixture.
  • You need a thick syrup so cook and sizzle it until you gained the required texture and smoothness.
  • Put the chicken in the prepared syrup and coat well in the prepared syrup.
  • For the final dressing, sprinkle the sesame seeds and toss once again for the final coating.
