Course: appetizer
Cuisine: Italian
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of fresh Italian bread
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Freshly grounded black pepper
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • 2 large hothouse tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 lb thin lean steak
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce chopped

Instructions

  • Make a strip of the steak by slicing it and then these strips are needed to be seasoned.
  • Use black pepper and Kosher salt to season your steak strips. Now you have to heat the grill pan. Keep the heat medium, heat the oil, add the strips and cook from each side for 2 minutes.
  • It will ultimately turn brown in those 2 minutes of frying.
  • It's time to heat your Panini grill while the heat should be high at this time.  Make slices of the bread, each slice with half-inch thickness, and coat both sides with olive oil using a brush.
  • Now place the bread on the heated Panini Grill and put the cooked, seasoned steal strips over the bread.
  • Put the cheese slice over the steak with the tomato slices over it. Put another slice of bread at the top. Make sure the upper side is oiled.
  • Grill your bread in the closed Panini grill for four to five minutes. Your cheese will eventually melt and the grill lines will have appeared.
  • After removing the bread from the grill, put a lettuce leaf in the sandwich, slice the sandwich from the center and Serve.
