Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon grounded cumin
  • 2 pounds of grounded beef
  • 1/4 cup masa harina
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 pounds of grounded beef
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon grounded cumin
  • 8- ounce can of tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grounded oregano
  • Chopped onions for serving
  • 1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • Lime wedges
  • One 15-Ounce can of Kidney beans
  • One 15-Ounce can of Pinto beans
  • Shredded cheddar for servings
  • Tortilla chips for servings

Instructions

  • Take a large-sized pot and put the ground beef in it. Add garlic to the pot.
  • Keep the heat medium while cooking the meat. Once the meat is stir-fried, you must dispose of all the fats from the pan.
  • Bring the tomato sauce and pour it into the pan. Add some chili powder and also sprinkle some cumin over it.
  • Add some oregano and also sprinkle some salt and cayenne pepper.
  • Simmer the mixture at lowered heat for at least 60 minutes and then you can add a little water to prevent it from drying out or getting burnt.
  • Take a small-sized bowl and add masa harina to it. Pour some water and mix well.
  • Pour this mixture into the chili cooking pot. Mix well. Add the quantity according to the required consistency.
  • In the end, you must add the Pinto beans and the Kidney beans. Mix them well and let cook for 10-15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the cheddar cheese, some onions, tortillas chips, and lime wedges at the top before serving.
