Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Go search in your kitchen cabinet and find a moderately sized saucepan.
  • Once you found it clean it with the tissue and put it on the stovetop to get it heated while keeping the heat low.
  • Once hot enough, add onion and wait until it is slightly browned. Add beef to the fried onion. Mix well.
  • It's high time to add the spices. Add all the spices and ingredients one by one to complete your sauce mixture.
  • Add sugar, grounded cloves, cayenne pepper, chili powder, nutmeg, dry mustard, paprika, cinnamon, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Also, sprinkle the black pepper.
  • Mix well using the wooden spatula and pour in enough water which covers all the ingredients in it.
  • Cook for half an hour by keeping the heat low. Wait until water starts to dry up and the sauce gets thickened.
  • And your hot dog sauce is ready.
  • Then grill and steam your hot dog and buns and then, make a layer of yellow mustard and serve after spreading the hot dog sauce over it.
