Texas Roadhouse Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp Greek seasoning
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 c Chicken Broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash and clean the chicken breasts and slice the whole breasts in half. Season with salt and pepper and set aside for a while.
  • In a wok, heat oil and sauté garlic for 1 minute then add chicken and cook on both sides until brown.
  • Add the sliced onion and mushrooms to the wok. Season with 1 tsp Greek seasoning or any other you like.
  • Sauté the veggies for 8 minutes until the onions look transparent and mushrooms have reduced in size.
  • To make nice and delicious gravy, mix corn starch with a little water and make a thick paste. Add this paste to the wok and bring to a boil then add chicken broth and bring the liquid to a boil.
  • Serve the chicken and mushrooms with delicious gravy.
