Course: salad
Cuisine: American
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 1/4 tablespoon freshly grated black pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds smoked whitefish
  • 6 bagels horizontally sliced
  • 16 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 pound thickly sliced salmon
  • 1/2 cup minced celery
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • A cup of mayonnaise
  • 3/4 tablespoon Kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Sliced tomatoes and sliced onions

Instructions

  • To start with, prepare your whitefish. For this purpose, flake it and discard the waste and bones.
  • Now take a salad bowl and add the fish to it.
  • The next step is chopping or mincing all your vegetables that are to be added to the salad. I usually prefer to mince the veggies to be added to the salad.
  • Mince the celery, which is followed by the mincing of onion. Once the dicing is done transfer the celery and onion to the fish bowl.
  • Then it's time to add the spices and sauces to your fish bowl. First of all, pour the cup of mayonnaise into it and mix.
  • Squeeze in the lemon juice and then sprinkle some salt over it. Also, sprinkle a little pepper for a good flavor. You can adjust the quantity for better taste.
  • To serve the fish salad with some bread, toast it first. Now assemble the platter and put the smoked salmon in it. Then bring the cream cheese and put it on the platter.
  • Arrange the sliced red onions followed by your freshly sliced tomatoes.
  • Now serve the toast platter and the whitefish salad together to have a blast. I am sure you will have fun!
